Toronto Giantess

"Toronto Giantess" is a personal project exploring the fusion of photography and illustration. My goal was to create a visual where both mediums coexist harmoniously without one overpowering the other.

The Creative Process

Concept & Planning: I started with the idea of integrating an illustrated character into a real-world setting, making Toronto’s skyline a key element of the composition.

Photography: I took a photo of the CN Tower and surrounding cityscape, ensuring proper framing and perspective to match the scale of the illustration.

Illustration & Integration: Using my signature style, I designed a giantess figure, carefully blending her into the scene. I experimented with color, texture, and shadows to create a seamless integration between the two mediums.

The Challenge

Finding the right balance between photography and illustration, ensuring that both elements complement rather than dominate each other.

The Solution

To ensure balance between the two media, I adjusted the composition by playing with scale and perspective.

The Results

A single artwork combining photography and illustration, bringing a surreal and dynamic vision of Toronto to life.

Key Takeaways

This project reinforced the importance of composition, scale, and color balance when merging different art forms.
